Life Is Like A Camera!

Stay Focused

Happy Wednesday Golden Divas!

There is so much to see through life’s lenses; life is like a camera, oh, let it be! We can lose our way on our journey; that is why it is so important to stay focus throughout this crisis so that we can see. As we once knew it, the world has stopped; however, just like a photograph, the pause button of life, you can and will regroup in a click of a button!

Today is the time to develop from the negative things that are hurled at us and take another shot at life. This season of our lives has taught us to cherish life and collect moments and not things throughout the horrible pandemic strife!

We have been going through a lot this year; we were optimistic to see 2019 end and 2020, to begin with, a new year of promise. It seems as though the highlights thus far have not been very aspiring as we anticipated. Starting in January, Kobe Bryant’s sudden death taught us that life is too short; a week and a half ago, Chadwick Boseman’s death made us realize heroes are not just in comic books and on the big screen but is walking amongst us.

Between January and August of 2020, the vision of hope has been shattered with the deadly virus, COVID-19, and the ‘Russian Roulette’ game of life began. The loss of loved ones due to the virus left millions of people scared, in a state of panic. Due to the lockdown, many people lost their jobs to stay safe, feeling hopeless and helpless, wondering about their future.

Instead of making America great again, the Whitehouse’s lack of leadership divided the world and propelled us back into the Civil Rights Era of unrest and unjust racism. The eyes of the world have been opened like never before, with the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, accompanied by a long list of names of unjustified deaths seeking justice in America.

2020 is an election year, and the fear of getting out to vote has crossed many minds, asking if anything will change, either I stay alive and continue to social distance, or should I risk my life and get out to vote. I say to you, put on a mask, stand six feet apart, keep your sanitizer ready, pack a snack, and have some water. Get out and vote, and help save the world, because your life and your loved one’s life depends on it.

As you can see, this year has not been promising; however, if you are reading this blog post, you are alive, you might not be where you want to be, but again you are alive, and I will take that and encourage myself every day for a better hope for tomorrow. Let’s make a difference if we can; whatever platform you have, use it to connect with as many people as you possibly can!!

Today is hump day, ladies, and it’s also ‘Watercolor Inspiration Day!’ As you may know, I love art and the expression of art in any form. Whenever there’s a chance for me to bring some positivity and encouragement to you divas, through the calamities of life, I’m all for it!

Let’s continue to lift and encourage one another daily. I hope you enjoyed the watercolor inspiration. Remember life is like a camera; sure, the world is in chaos right now, but all you have to do is stay focused!

I love you and there’s nothing you can do about it!!
