Focus on the Good

Life Is Tough; But So are You!

Happy Wednesday, Golden Divas!

Club fifty is here to inspire you with some watercolor inspiration. I know it’s hard to focus on the good throughout this tiring pandemic; because COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. We are potentially embarking on another lockdown for the holidays, making it very difficult to get into holiday spirits. If we could, we will skip right over 2020 and go straight into 2021 as if 2020 never existed.

Unfortunately, this is our new normalcy, and we have to get our minds right, or we won’t stand a chance in the new year. Our family gatherings are at a halt; however, I want you around for the next year and years to come. So please be very mindful of how you spend your holidays this year. Like so many other people, I am taking a pass and thinking of creative ways to enjoy social distancing with my family for the holidays.

Note to you, Golden Divas, this year of NOT hanging out for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve will possibly save you and your loved ones.

The world is getting restless due to the pandemic mode that we have been in for a year and a half, and as we can see, everyone is not going to follow the rules to social distance. This virus continues to spread at a slow burn; intermittent lockdowns are the new familiar, contrary to what many people want to perceive. An estimated 250 million people have been infected worldwide, and 1.75 million are dead. As if these alarming numbers are not enough to make everyone straighten up and fly right.

Although an approved vaccine offers six months of protection, international deal-making has slowed its distribution.

Ladies, this pandemic can be so depressing. All of the lockdowns and all of the restrictions that come with it make our anxiety radar rise every day. Finances, job losses, the uncertainty of when a virus will go into effect, and even how our child will be educated to how we interact with our neighbors to how we worship have taken a toll on us mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Thank God for churches that LIVE stream their services; we can worship together via social media.

I feel just like you; however, we have to stay healthy and focus on the good. We know life is too short, especially with COVID-19; that is why we have to enjoy the little things in life and stay close but (social distance) with our family. Life is tough, but we are tougher. We’re in this pandemic together, and we’re going to get through this together. God has been good to us; even if we can’t see it now, better days are ahead!!

Yes, 2020 has been an eyeopener for us; it has marginalized how dangerous this world can be. So much has happened in one year that we wish we could blink this nightmare away. Unfortunately, we can’t. This eyeopener has forced us to deal with the cold hard TRUTH of a country divided by frustration, anger, hate, and topped off with COVID-19.

So again, I say, stay strong, make sure you test positive for faith. Keep distance from doubt, and isolate from Fear.

TRUST GOD THROUGH IT ALL GOLDEN DIVAS!
