Beautiful Black Queen
Happy Wednesday, Golden Divas!
I’m going just to put it out here. ‘BLACK WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL!’
That’s it in a nutshell. I can leave this post right here and let you marinate on that fact, but you know I can’t, and I want.
I recently was asked why do I fight so hard for Black women; I was shocked hearing this from another African American woman; however, my response was simple enough.
“What other race and gender will fight for us?”
You see, I love my sistahs; as Black women living in a racist world, we are the last ones on the totem pole to receive anything, and I mean anything in this world. But, I will have to do the breakdown in another post about all of the deprivation we have endured.
As Black women, we carry an ugly stigma and have historically been viewed as unattractive, uneducated, loud, lazy, and promiscuous. Whew! Now, that’s a lot to put on us, beautiful black women.
The world will have us believe all of that hype of foolishness. But, my Golden Divas, that portrait of unkindness can weigh in heavily on a sister mentally and physically, that you are not living up to America’s standard of what beauty consists of in this world.
For these prime reasons, I love to encourage, motivate and uplift my fellow divas in whatever they are doing positively. Life is hard out here for a black woman; however, seeing that someone cares is a winning hand, for the unjust hand that was dealt to us.
So, again I say every opportunity I get, I will cherish and uplift my Nubian Queen even in this short post.
So, rock on with your bad self, let your Melanin continue to glow in this dim world. Remember, you are the light in the darkness. So shine on Golden Divas and reach back and instill kind words to your other sistahs!!
Here’s a little-known fact!
Did you know getting legal recourse for rape was virtually impossible? Raping a black woman wasn’t even against the law in the United States until after the Civil War.
Let that sink in as much as things have changed; they still are the same.
That is all, have a great day, Golden Divas!.
I love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it!
