Being in love with speaking her whole life, Dawn Nyree Sanchez, Dawn was born with "The Voice." Born in Chicago, IL, to Pearlie McClelland (mother) and Walter L Green (Father). Dawn has always been active in her community. Encouraging others with her words and following her act of giving.
Her mom and great-great-grandmother knew something special about her voice and always encouraged her to use her voice. She started in Chicago, IL, at a young age, speaking in various churches, radio, and other Prestigious Companies.
Integrated with public speaking, once married and traveled abroad with her husband in the military, she began motivational speaking with the United States Marine Corps. She wrote two books, 'Call to Duty' and 'Now I Know I Am Beautiful,' which led to many speaking engagements among Military bases worldwide. Speaking in other countries like Japan and Thailand opened doors of opportunity. Upon returning to the States with her husband and settling in Franklin, NH, Dawn wanted to return to school and obtain her degree in Communications.
Dawn opened her business at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic as a Diamond Dynasty Consultant, and her podcast was one of the top 20 inspirational podcasts during the pandemic, according to Iheartraido. In 2021, Dawn Nyree Sanchez started her journey at Plymouth State University. With the help of many Mentors and Professors, she has overcome many challenges that were once an obstacle for her. IN CONVERSATION WITH DAWN NYREE SANCHEZ
C50: Dawn, you're a Coco Girl living well, wearing numerous hats, and making waves in New England (the State). You have been featured in many magazines and commercials, inspiring many people to live their best lives! You're the CEO at Diamond Dynasty Consultant, Minister-Life Coach, and Motivational Speaker. You live the Military Life and are an American Author, Radio Personality, and Student. Tell us how you were dubbed "The Voice," which led us to all your accomplishments.
DNS: "The Voice" has been a part of my life and character since the beginning. I have always used my voice to speak at churches, schools, and special events, and I have also learned to advocate for myself in school. My "voice" has always been part of God's design: to bless others.
C50: Take us on your journey from Chicago to the land of New England.
DNS: Many people ask, "Why did you move to New Hampshire? The short answer is "God". My husband and I started in Chicago, and when he joined the military, we traveled around the world. We sent resumes worldwide when he retired, and New England (New Hampshire) answered the call. My husband and I have always prayed to God to send us where he needed us, and this journey was no different, so God opened the doors in New Hampshire, and let me tell God makes no mistakes. It has been the biggest blessing of our lives.
C50: Talk to us about your business, Diamond Dynasty Consultant, born during the pandemic, and what services you provide.
DNS: Diamond Dynasty is the baby I had during the pandemic by God. To help people navigate through life as well as the pandemic. Life coach, Ministry, military, educators, and school. Using technology like Zoom, I could reach those who felt helpless and give them a new way to view the situation as a blessing.
C50: Dawn, please share with us how you began living the military life.
DNS: Life as a Military spouse is terrific, but not for the weak-hearted. I would tell those not married and dating a military man or woman to consider all the situations. The good, the bad, and the ugly, and are you ready for that? I am blessed to have been part of the military, helping with morale while working in Homeland Security. I worked side by side with my husband and Sgt. Majors up to ensure the safety of our men and women being deployed.
C50: You're the author of self-help books, 'And God Handed Me the Mic,' 'Call to Duty,' and 'Now I Know I'm Beautiful.' What inspired you to write these books?
DNS: I am working on "And God handed me the Mic," which is my journey back to school and what God promised me if I said yes to his assignment. Call to Duty: I wrote to help military spouses navigate deployment with their children. Know our roles while our spouses are gone and how to reconnect when they return. And the book Now I Know I Am Beautiful is about building up good self-esteem for everyone. According to God. God had to show me how beautiful I was, and once I saw my beauty, I could help someone see theirs.
C50: According to IHeartRadio, your podcast was among the top 20 inspirational podcasts during the pandemic. Please share with us some of the topics you discussed on your show.
DNS: I was so honored by IheartRadio since it is very much a "worldly" platform, BUT GOD used what I was saying to places like Iraq and Iran. Topics like 'The Assignment,' 'How Big Is Your Anointing? 'Sharing With People How Important You Are In The Kingdom'’ and "What is your purpose?" I used world events and the word of God to give hope.
C50: Dawn, you have accomplished many things most people dream about. One of your most significant accomplishments was your academic journey. Please share the challenges that once prevented you from achieving your educational dreams with Club Fifty.
DNS: Oh boy, this testimony is exciting! The challenge that once prevented me from achieving my academic dreams was not the diagnosis. Still, words of one High School consol said to me, and that was "I would never be academically successful because my learning challenge was so severe. BUT GOD! The Lord pushed me my faith, my limits, and my mind. I had to get over my "school anxiety" I also had "test anxiety." I had no pill I could take; I had those people that God placed in my life to help me and God himself.
My husband would tell me, "Baby, just take it one day at a time, one subject at a time, and one moment at a time. I finished my undergrad degree in Communication and Media with a 3.75 GPA, and my master's in organizational leadership with a GPA of 3.74 in 3.5 years with my learning challenge (Neurodivergent Dyslexia), Which means I should not know how to read or write.
C50: Tell us why you chose Plymouth State University to pursue your education and how it changed your life.
DNS: Funny Story: I started in another school, and it didn't work out. That's my fault I didn't pray about it. My husband went to this school, and I thought, why not lol. I didn't ask God, but that was okay because it was all a part of God's plan. I shared this with a friend, and they told me about Plymouth State University. I found myself driving up to the school, looking around, and running into the transfer student officer. and it became my home and community, and as they say, "the rest is history."
C50: Did you have any mentors to help guide you in your academic and career decisions?
DNS: So many mentors have helped me on this journey. It has been mind-blowing. They pushed me to go further than I wanted to, lol. I knew I wanted communication, and I wanted my BA in that, but that master's degree was pushed by one of my mentors, who saw something in me that I didn't see in myself.
C50: Upon graduation, what's next for you? I'm sure it's something BIG!
DNS: GRADUATION is May 9th and 10th of 2025, and I am so excited!! With 3 months to go, I am over the moon, and without words, all God has done. Pastor Latoya Brewington sings, "He has done Exceedingly abundantly," and God has done that for me. After graduation, I will be Professor Dawn Nyree Sanchez at Plymouth State University in the fall of August 28, 2025. I will also be revamping my business, so watch for that. BIG things and this is just the beginning. 1 Corinthians 2:9 Eye has not seen, nor ear has heard, nor have it entered into the heart of man the things God has prepared for those who love him.
Bonus Question
C50: Dawn, please share some encouraging words for someone seeking to achieve their goals and dreams or make a career transition. Also, share where our loyal C50 readers can purchase your books, listen to your podcast, and connect with you at Diamond Dynasty.
DNS: How to Stay in Encourage, my books are on Amazon. "God Handed Me The Mic" is still under revision. "Now I know I am beautiful," and 'Call to Duty,' you can get now. You can listen to my podcast on Apple. Podcast, overcast, Pocket casts, Public Radio, Spotify, and Iheartradio (Let's talk about it)!
The words I leave with you today are: "Because I know my challenges, I have sharpened and perfected my strengths." Dawn N. Sanchez (T-shirts coming soon with that saying). Don't stop and remember Iron sharpens Iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
Get around people who sharpen you, push, and pray for you.
Thank you to Brenda McCain for once again allowing me to share my testimony and bless others.
