Staying Encouraged

Words to Uplift Your Soul!

Isaiah 40:31 NIV

31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Hello Golden Divas!

I don’t know who I am talking to today in this post, but God has placed you ladies on my heart this week to lift, inspire, and encourage you to not to give in to Satan’s wishes. We know as women we automatically become Super Woman. We are always there for everyone else except ourselves and this can become mind-boggling and weigh down our spirits. Golden Divas we are designed as natural nurturers to cater for others even in the midst of our own storms. We may be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, tired, run down, depressed, and discouraged with no hope in sight for our future.

A future that we thought would be different at this stage of our lives, on the other side of fifty! Ladies, I know things have not gone as we planned, we might have thought that our relationships, marriages, careers, health, finances, and children would be different. Basically better! I mean seriously this is our golden years and we supposed to be coasting our way into happiness now; enjoying the fruits of our labor with peace, joy and happiness.

NOT! Instead, we have despair, hurt and pain filling our hearts and we’re starting to believe that our circumstances are bigger than our God. That when the storm is raging we truly believe we are going to be taken out of here!

Ladies if we are in anchored in the Lord we know that if the storm doesn’t cease and the wind keeps on blowing we are going to make it through the storm.

We’ve been here before and didn’t God bring us out of our storm before? Girl, you know He did. Life can be very disheartening. I get it. I had plenty of storms that felt like a tsunami in my life…but I got through it. One thing I do know is that God will never give us too much to bear. So why do we turn our backs on him in the midst of our trials and tribulations?

Some of us actually harbor on the fact that we are in a storm as if we want to stay in there forever. You know how we do… I thought I would have been…..you fill in the blank.  Or “if it’s not one thing it’s another.” Remember we have to stop speaking the negative into our lives. Start speaking positive words over your life and see the manifestation of what God will do and start rejoicing in the changes that will come. I’m encouraging you to step out on faith.

There are times that you may feel that not even God is listening to you. That He may seem inaccessible to your prayers. That your prayers are going null and void on deaf ears regarding your present situation. You feel despair and you may want to give up, but I’m here to tell you don’t give and don’t be discouraged. God has not forsaken you in your time of need.

God will faithfully guide you through the storms that you may be going through. You may not see what’s beyond the clouds, whether there is no sun or stars appearing for days to come and the storm keeps on raging, never give up!

This is the time that God is shaping and molding you to become stronger and resilient so that you can share with others through your testimony of how you made it out of the storm.

Stop looking at how big your problem is and start focusing on how big your God is.

Golden Divas, it’s time to recharge your spiritual soul and start putting yourself first again. So that you can go back out there and conquer the world!

I employ you to pick up your Bible for a fresh start and you will see God through the storm. Scriptures will offer encouragement in your daily life and provide inspiration and strength as you cope with life’s challenges. God’s plan for your life is that you have joy and live life to the fullest. His plans were never to have you feeling hopeless, discouraged and depressed.

So ladies, let’s start meditating on the word and watch how you will experience God’s healing power for your soul!

Here are some encouraging scriptures for you ladies!

1 Thessalonians 5:11: Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Isaiah 43:2  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4:  3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
