Rev. Dr. Alexis L. Brinkley Felder

Army Princess. Prayer Warrior. Faith Walker.

“For Where Your Treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:21

In keeping with honoring First Ladies for Black History Month and although this beautiful spirit is (pre) Golden Diva and has some years before she crossover into her golden years of 50 and beyond, I will be remiss if I didn’t honor her in my series of First Ladies.

Rev. Dr. Alexis L. Felder is my First Lady at New Faith Baptist Church International. This woman is a phenomenal legend and an iconic figure of a godly woman. She is married to the Rev. Dr. Trunell D. Felder, Senior Pastor of New Faith Baptist Church International in Matteson, Illinois. Dr. Felder partners with her husband in ministry as he leads a flock of over 7,000 members in the south suburbs of Chicago.

New Faith is one church two continents, three countries, and twenty-two locations with seventeen churches and six schools in Ghana, West Africa; as well as five churches in Cape Town, South Africa. He is also the founder of The Joseph Assignment Global Initiative. Through both organizations, hundreds of thousands have been saved and transformed. Together they have two wonderful children, Nora and Andrew. She is also the mother to hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children all around the world as she works to raise money to provide them with quality health care, food, clean water, shelter, and education.

As you can see Rev. Alexis is not the typical first lady holding down the first row in the church, this glorious, powerful, and captivating Diva exemplifies the heart of a Christian woman as she continues to seek the heart of God through worship, witness, and wondrous works beside her husband.

The desires that God has placed into our hearts are clues as to who we are and the role that we are meant to play. Rev. Alexis is fulfilling her assignment by helping the underprivileged people in this world.

As I often think about my First Lady the Proverbs 31 woman who is a wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies and a woman who is carrying out her mission in the 21st century by accomplishing many astounding things in this world I’m literally in awe of this inspiring soul.

This one particular amazing worship song “Made A Way” by Travis Greene, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDnrYaDPcig comes to my mind when I think about God’s goodness and how He keeps on moving mountains and performing miracles. The song makes me think of Rev. Dr. Alexis L. Felder, His angel right here on earth, fulfilling her assignment by helping the poor in an impoverished world live a better life.

With that being said, you can understand this beautiful woman inside and out, her wondrous works, and her selfless spirit to help, because of her blueprint in the ministry. Her Faith Walk is priceless, and her heart is filled with love to serve and to help others when they can’t help themselves. That is why she is affectionately called NFBCI Army Princess. She is the Christian Soldier who tirelessly fights battles for those who cannot fight for themselves around Chicagoland and abroad.

Besides taking the pulpit by storm our Prayer Warrior is fierce, her prayers are powerful and monumental and when she is praying for the church, the world, and you personally one can’t help to know that God is hearing her supplications. This former Beauty Queen looks darn good every time she steps up to the mike in the pulpit, with her flawless, flowing hair to her warrior braids representing the “Mother Land!”

However, she is not afraid to step out from the pulpit in Matteson IL, to preach, teach, and share beyond the four walls to save a soul and bring you closer to Christ. She is our international “Wonder Woman” who is willing to share the word and give a helping hand in Roseland, Englewood, Ford Heights, Chicago Heights, and Africa.

“This anointed woman of God is spreading love and hope around the globe. Our International Princess is making Black history 365 days a year.”
