Hello, my name is Dawn Burnell, and I’m 44 years old. I am single and a parent to a wonderful, humble, and handsome son Shaylar Burnell. Some of the things that I love to do are attending plays and football games at Southwest Minnesota State University. I attend Central Christian Church in Beloit, WI. I work full time as an administrative associate with a large engineering company. I enjoy making crafts, wine tasting, hanging out with friends and family, and, most of all, working my Paparazzi business.

C50: Dawn why Paparazzi Accessories?

DB: I Love Jewelry! I’ve been buying Paparazzi for three years at craft shows because it was cute, affordable, and, most of all, nickel and lead-free. I have a slight nickel allergy. No one ever offered me the opportunity when they saw I was buying over $40 of jewelry. One day my good friend Norma asked if I heard about Paparazzi Accessories and I said of course. We talked about the business, and I said YES and pressed the submit button right away!!

C50: What are your responsibilities as a business owner?

DB: Making sure I have inventory that would cover everyone’s taste, not just mine. I continue to give my customers what they want new and trending items. Keeping them happy is my priority!!

C50: Where will your business be in one, five, ten years?

DB: I would love to have a storefront or a mobile business. I also want to build a large team with this opportunity to bless other families everywhere the business allows. My 1-year plan is to become Premier Director, 5-year plan Producer, and 10-year plan Jet Setter.

C50: How do you advertise your jewelry business?

DB: I try to schedule between 1-3 Facebook LIVES a week. I make Flash Sales; Wall Drops with jewelry photos on my page. I also play games on my LIVES for people to win free jewelry. I have a VIP page that gives you access to exclusive items first before they are shown to everyone else. I also do vending events, as well. I love to face to face contact!!

C50: How much commission can you receive by selling Paparazzi jewelry?

DB: 45% instant commission! As a consultant, we purchase the jewelry for $2.75 and resell it for $5.00(no more or less); that is where the profit of $2.25 is. The Zi Collection is purchased for $16.25 and resold for $25.00 (no more no less), and there is our 35% profit. The jewelry sells itself with how beautiful it is and affordable! C50: How successful can one be with a home-based jewelry business?

DB: It’s about how much work you want to do to build your customer base and a team. We have multiple 6 and 7 figure earners in this business. Some individuals had or have very successful careers; some will be retired or retiring from the company. Paparazzi have to keep making new levels because people keep smashing the ones in place. That’s a great problem to have!

C50: What do you want your jewelry business to look like?

DB: I want to have a successful business where I’m known as the $5.00 Bling Lady. I want to have a team full of 6 figure Bling Bosses (women and men).

C50: What is unique about your business?

DB: The fact that you can get high-quality fashion jewelry for only $5.00 is unbelievable. The necklaces come WITH complementary earrings for ladies is amazing. Paparazzi has been keeping up with the trends and thinking outside the norm or box and coming out with new jewelry Monday through Friday every week at 2 pm CST; that’s why we don’t have catalogs because it’s continually changing and selling out in seconds.
